Hello Hen House readers! I can't believe it's Friday again. I'll be finishing two more k-cup holders and I finalized my listing on Amazon.
A lot of research happened this week. I've also been doing a lot of work for Lowell Makes.
I've mentioned Lowell Makes (LM as the members call it) in passing but I think it's time for a deep dive.
LM is a maker space. A maker space is a non-profit organization that provides creative tools to members. LM provides:
Metal Shop
Wood Shop
3D Printing
Vinal Printing (stickers, wall decals)
CNC Machine
Pottery
Laser Printing
Cosplay Shop
Media (photo, audio recording)
Brewing & Caffeine
FAMM (sewing, mixed media)

My job? I'm a member of the Education Committee. We are all volunteers at LM because it's a non-profit. Our job is to find teachers (which is a paying gig) and make sure the schedule is filled up with classes.
We may launch a big Concept to Completion class soon. We are working with someone who has big ideas. Ideas so big we need a meeting to iron out the order of said ideas.
Apart from that, I'm also hosting a couple of events for LM. I'll be at at table for Make It Fest, and another table at the Lowell Folk Festival.
I will NOT be selling at Make It Fest (I don't think). It's more about Lowell Makes and showing off what can be done there.
I WILL be selling at Lowell Folk Festival. I'm very excited about that!

Today I'm finishing up my two K-cup holders. I sanded them and put some sweet sweet teak oil on them. See video of me sanding these on X or Instagram: X profile - Instagram profile
I'm also finally doing a print of my tray addon. I'm so excited to see it in action. I have to build another tray before I can really see it in its glory.

Next will be to paint parts of the tray addons and I also need to condition some leather for my k-cup holders. Lots to do, on another day.
