It's all coming together

Hello Hen House readers! This week is going pretty good. All the things I've been working on separately are now coming together.
Most progress has been made with my table tray addons. I've printed and tweaked and printed again. Here is the initial first cut. Some parts burned so the next cut will be lighter.
I now had to make some choices. Finish it with a stain and/or a polyurethan. Paint it, if paint, how much?
After some testing here is what I found out. If I stain and poly it, the contrast goes away, blending in to much. I tried painting and knew my answer!
I tried Black on the edges and it just made the piece look more burnt. I used Green and boy oh boy did it POP!
Wondering how the other pieces would look painted, I did the top of the bushes, house, car and barn. All of those got muddy looking. For the time spent painting the small stuff I didn't really get much out of it.
So green trim and nothing else is my answer. I really love the way it looks.
As you can see, the green paint provides contrast without taking away the natural wood look. The small parts burned and will be corrected on the next piece.
Oh, and the double sided tape worked great! I'll definitely be showcasing it in my Amazon Affiliate section...

In home news. My daughter was in a play and that went really well. The audience laughed at her line. My son did a stem project with me and he is so proud!
My home is a bit crowded. A new storage unit is opening and so I haven't been dropping things off. In fact I've been taking a little at a time and bringing it home. Can't wait to get all this stuff to the new unit.
Planning on adding some shelving in the new unit to store all my supplies and finished products while they await shipping.
In Lowell Makes news. I asked the community for some showcase pieces. I hope I get a bunch to show off.
We also have an new member who is making the rounds and learning a BUNCH. He might be our next go to for new members wanting to learn the ropes.
I'm working with the Marketing Committee to make a big banner that showcases our members. Members will answer questions and we will put the answers on a big beautiful board.
