my name is Dusty Santos. I met my husband, got married in the beautiful white mountains in peak fall, then had 4 wonderful kids.
Kairi, my oldest, is great at archery and acting. Then my twins. Auron who was born with Cystic Fibrosis has the biggest heart of all of us. His determination inspires me. Hunter at age 9 started coding games using a site called Scratch. And Yunalesca (Yuna) is the prettiest girly girl I've ever met. She doesn't miss an opportunity to show how smart she is.
Now that my kids are all going to school I can ask myself, what do I really want to do, for me? Something that combines my home maker skills and my creative side.
The answer, wood working. Crafting unique and high-quality wooden crafts for you. I've always had a creative mind. Drawing, making, and using clever ideas to solve problems.
Why the name?
While researching a name I wanted something Country, something, American, something that inspires a Happy Home. Lucky for me, I found all three! ​
'Home' is where you feel when safe and self sufficient!
'Hen' was taken from the very country image of a hen house.
'Free' is for the homesteader in all of us. The part of us that yearns to live independently. And 'Free" is very important to me for another reason...
'Free' is put in my companies name because I, living in America, am free to start a company, raise my children, make my own products. Live, Love and Believe what I want, and I'm proud of that.
